about

This marks the end of Subclarity. It isn't really an album, just some leftovers- the last gasp of this creative project.

Since the release of Subclarity & the Valley of Forms just over a year ago, music began to mean something else to me.

Art is about sharing your experience as a human being- expressing it in a constructed experience for others to appreciate and learn from. This is what matters to me now. I want to share my love and pain with the world.

Making vaporwave taught me how to make music. I didn't used to know how to make music... I just made it. That was beautiful. Formulas... processes. These are the things Subclarity clings to.

She isn't an artist as much as she is a scientist, a craftsperson. I am not that person anymore. I take great pride in Claire's music and I still love it all dearly, but it does not contain me.

If there's anything meaningful to you- anything you care about- that meaning and that beauty lives inside of you. It's a part of you. It's beautiful. If you can share it with others, that's even better. Do not be afraid to show the world who you are. Every person is beautiful.

Thank you for listening,
-Lain
